Aug 04, 2022 (Q Unknown) - Sheared basalt striking N.62°E, dip 70°N. Pit: 18.2 metres of northeast corner of S.V. 338, does not show any quartz in place in the pit. Quartz on the dump is rusty white quartz; some chlorite, no sulphides. Main pit, 30.5 metres east of north-east corner of SV.338, in sheared basalt, exposing on west wall a rusty white quartz vein thinning 22.8 -7.6 centimetres at the bottom of the pit. On east wall pinches 10 to 0 centimetres and widens to 8.0 centimetres at bottom. Vein strikes E-W, and dips 85°N to vertical. The quartz vein could not be traced beyond the pit owing to lack of exposure. (ARV069, p.27). Assays: 0.48 and 1.17 opt Au from surface.
