Access Description: The occurrence is accessible by boat navigating to the western shore of the extreme southeast bay of Wabigoon Lake, at the northwestern corner of Indian Reserve No. 27.
1950 - G.L. Pidgeon did the following work: stripping, trenching, samples, 3 drill holes totalling 54m. Results: hole intersected mineralized quartz with 2.9m of assays up to 5.9 gpt Au and 5.5m of assays up to 9.1 gpt Au. 1980 - R. Fairservice did the following work: staking and samples. Results: N/A 1983 - Royex Sturgex Mining Ltd. did the following work: geophysical surveys (HLEM, Mag). Results: 2 EM conductors found and co-incident magnetic high. 1986 - Tanqueray Resources Ltd. did the following work: drilled five holes (no locations given). Results: One hole hit 2m of 5.3 gpt Au in mafic metavolcanics containing carbonate, quartz, tourmaline, fuchsite and 5-50% pyrite. 1989 - J. Parker, OGS (OFR 5723) did the following work: mapping and sampling. Results: random grab samples returned 210-605 ppb Au in the pyretic, altered metavolcanics and 120-2050 ppb in the quartz veins. 2002 - S. Johnson and K.
