Access Description: Practical access to the property is by Hwy. 594 either west from Dryden to eagle Lake or south from the junction of Hwy. 594 with the Trans-Canada Highway 17 north of Eagle River. During the winter, snowmobile access to Eagle Lake is available from the south end of the township road located south of the Eagle River.
'An agreement was reached between International Platinum and Teck to explore the Eagle Lake base metal prospect near Dryden, Ont. Under the terms of the agreement, Teck will spend $1.65 million over 4.5 years to earn at 51% interest in the property. International Platinum has been exploring the property for four years and has identified three zones of stringer zinc-copper mineralization in a favourable volcanic environment. Feb 14, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - ' The Eagle Lake area is underlain by an east-northeast trending, vertical to steeply dipping, north facing, locally isoclinally folded suite of Archean mafic to felsic metavolcanic rocks which are located in the western portion of the Wabigoon subprovince. The Wabigoon fault system separates these rocks from metasedimentary gneiss and granitoid rocks of the English river subprovince to the north.' Feb 14, 2011 (J Bongfelt) - 'Area E: three lithogeochemical anomalies have been identified in this area. Two are associated wi th a major mafic to felsic contact, the third is associated with a stringer sulphide zone. All warrant additional exploration.'
