Jan 20, 2014 (A Wilson) - The rocks are exposed only sporadically along the lakeshore. The graphitic rock is fine-grained rusty weathering metasediment containing a small amount of disseminated pyrite and pyrrhotite. The rock is foliated 110/75 ° to 80 ° N.

Jan 20, 2014 (A Wilson) - Fine disseminated graphite flakes make up less than 1% of the rock. Grab samples collected from the area returned 180 ppm Cu and 930 ppm Zn.
