Mineralization Comments

Jun 30, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Eaglelund Showing is hosted in a fine-grained granodiorite to quartz diorite sill. Trenching by Tarbush Lode Mining in 1985 exposed the Eaglelund granodiorite over a length of approximately 450 meters, at which point it was observed to pinch out at both ends. The central portion of the sill also pinches out into a shear, so that the actual length of granodiorite exposed by trenching is only about 300 m. The width of the sill is variable from 3 to 12 m, with an average of about 5 m. The porphyry observed was weakly to moderately sericitized and silicified, with minor disseminated pyrite. One outcrop also contained several bull quartz stringers, as well as one quartz-tourmaline vein showing a pyrite halo. Mineralization within the granodiorite is variable in intensity. Gold seems to be mainly associated with pyritic quartz veins, which may develop dense networks of white veins parallel to foliation or as transverse sets. Pyrite occurs both as fine disseminations and as coarse cubes up to 1 inch in diameter within the wallrock. Veins are accompanied by quartz, carbonate and pyrite alteration. In areas with higher vein densities, albite alteration was also observed. Visible gold was observed in one section of the vein associated with minute grey quartz veinlets containing tourmaline and occasional streaks of galena (Assessment report 20000008131). Grab samples returned up to 0.04 oz/t Au (1.37 g/t Au) from granodiorite with quartz material. DDH TB-85-5 retuned up to 2.78 oz/t Au over 1 ft (95.3 g/t Au over 0.3 m) (Assessment report 52F16NW0019). DDH JP-1 returned up to 0.24 oz/t Au over 1 ft (8.23 g/t Au over 0.3 m) from a 6” white quartz vein well mineralized with pyrite, pyrrhotite, and a little tourmaline. DDH JP-2 returned up to 0.05 oz/t Au over 1.1 ft (1.71 g/t Au over 0.33 m). DDH JP-6 returned up to 0.06 oz/t Au over 1.5 ft (2.06 g/t Au over 0.46 m). DDH JP-8 returned 0.1 oz/t Au over 3.0 ft (3.43 g/t Au over 0.91 m), 0.24 oz/t Au over 3.0 ft (8.23 g/t Au over 0.91 m), and 0.30 oz/t Au over 4 ft (10.3 g/t Au over 1.22 m) (Assessment report 52F16NE8584). Some narrow gold intersections were confirmed by the 2018 drill program, notably in the south west region of the Eaglelund target, with hole EL-18-002 intersecting 1.0 m at 2.22 g/t Au, and hole EL-18-003 intersecting 2.0 m at 6.42 g/t Au (McCracken, 2019).
