Geology Comments

Jun 12, 2024 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Alto-Gardnar property is situated in the Melgund Lake-Big Sandy Lake area of MacFie Township in northwestern Ontario. It lies within the Wabigoon Sub province of the Archean Superior Province. The area is underlain by metavolcanics and metasedimentary supracrustal rocks of the Minnitaki Group metasediments and Southern Volcanic Belt metavolcanics. Supracrustals have been intruded by four felsic stocks and batholiths, the largest of which is the Basket Lake Batholith which occurs immediately to the east of the Alto-Gardnar showings.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 12, 2024 (Therese Pettigrew) - Gold mineralization occurs in three distinct settings: 1) Shear-hosted quartz veins in metavolcanics; 2) Quartz-carbonate alteration zones; and 3) Iron formation-hosted sulphide mineralization. Sampling by Ashley Gold in 2024 from a previously unsampled vein was assayed returning 106 g/t Au and 54.2 g/t Au. In addition, a historic open cut was sampled with assays returning 0.46 g/t Au up to 5.47 g/t Au (Ashley Gold press release, May 29, 2024).

Jul 29, 2022 (Q Unknown) - Bulk assay - 125 tons @ 0.08 opt Au. Reserves: Speculative: 60,250 t @ 0.20 opt Au, Possible: 40,500 t @ 0.21 opt Au (OGS 1981).
