Feb 12, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - Molybdenite occurs in disseminations, in quartz veins and in joint faces in granite and greenstone. An average of 84 samples gave 0.19% MoS2 and 0.03% copper (Johnston, 1968). DDH BC-6 assayed up to 1.6% Cu and 1.82 opt Ag over 0.2 ft (0.06 m) from a rhyolite with 4% chalcopyrite and trace pyrite, and 0.59% u and 0.58 opt Ag over 2’ (0.6 m) from a rhyolite with 1.5% chalcopyrite. DDH BC-7 assayed up to 0.87% Cu, 0.54 opt Ag, 0.11% Zn over 0.5’ (0.15 m) from a massive mafic metavolcanics with 2% chalcopyrite, 0.25% sphalerite, pyrite, and pyrrhotite (Assessment report 52G14SE0038).
