Geological Age: Archean

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (R Tuomi) - The section exposed in DDH C-81-2 consists of a unit of andesite tuff, strongly chloritized in part and containing minor amounts of pyrrhotite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite. At 397 feet a breccia zone containing minor pyrrhotite assayed 0.17 ounce gold per ton. At 480 feet the drill core contained a 2 foot zone of semi-massive sulphides with minor copper and lead content. The remainder of the core consisted of rhyolite to dacite tuff, agglomerate and breccia.
