Sep 30, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - Shklanka (1968, p.375) summarizes the Dorothea occurrence as Algoma type, oxide facies "NE-trending, magnetite-hematite-quartz (chert, jasper) iron formation with some interbedded greywacke, usually less than 50 but up to 240 feet (15-73 m) in width, and 1.25 miles (2 km) in length".
