Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (B Schnieders) - The gabbro is a coarse grained rock, and intrudes metasedimentary gneiss exposed on the north shore of Wig (Paddon) Lake. The contact is widely pyritized and fractured, but sampling disclosed no copper or nickel values. Drill hole 63-1 tested underneath the Main zone some 60 feet west of the trench and further established a zone of mineralization with continuous but weak copper-nickel (Tough, 1963, Assessment Files, Harrrison Minerals, OGS, Thunder Bay). Samples from the trench on the Main Zone assayed up to 0.20% Cu and 0.27% Ni (Tough, 1963).

Jun 14, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDH 63-1 returned up to 0.21% Ni and 0.07% Cu from a gabbro with serpentine stringers (Assessment report 52H13NE0018).
