Lithology Comments

Mar 07, 2014 (A Wilson) - The dike strikes east and dips 60°S and is exposed in one outcrop that is 60 ft. long and up to 30 ft. wide. At the west end of the outcrop, the dike splits and is represented by two tongues separated by a thin wedge of granite gneiss.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 07, 2014 (A Wilson) - The dike contains 15-20% pale grey spodumene as prismatic crystal s up to 8 inches in length associated with potash feldspar, quartz, albite and muscovite. The highest Li grades returned from the Cominico geochemical survey were 29 ppm.

Apr 10, 2019 (Robert Cundari) - Sovereign completed 5 diamond-drill holes at the Chappais Lake occurrence, designed to test the extent and continuity of lithium mineralization through the pegmatite dyke. Three holes (CL-16-01, -02 and -03) were positioned at the southern end of the dyke and were drilled across the width of the dyke. Hole CL-16-10 was drilled in a down-dip direction to test Li2O distribution within the dyke. Hole CL-16-11 was completed as a step-out hole 50 m southwest of the main showing. The following are the most significant results from the Chappais Lake property: DDH CL-16-01 = 2.01% Li2O over 0.7 m, DDH CL-16-02 =0.45% Li2O over 1.0 m, DDH CL-16-03 = 1.09% Li2O over 1.0 m (Cundari et al., 2017).
