Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: There is public access to Caribou Lake at the end of the road 10 km west of Armstrong. Travel 21 km by boat in a NE direction to Kellar Island. The trenches are located about 150 m past the narrows at the SE end of Kellar Island and about 75 m inland from the shore.



Exploration History

1957: A.P. Ginn conducted trenching and drilled 5 DDH totalling 135 m. 1996: K. Sutton and E. Sutton carried out prospecting and sampling.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 10, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - Sample 23 collected in 1996 returned 8432 ppm Cu (Assessment report 52I10SW0038). Diamond drill logs indicate that the mineralization consists of massive to disseminated pyrrhotite and pyrite with minor chalcopyrite, within mafic metavolcanics (Sutcliffe, 1988).
