Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (R Tuomi) - The pits were mostly fallen in and covered with debris. The wall rocks appeared to be sheared mafic volcanics and schists. The quartz veins contained minor amounts of chalcopyrite, pyrite and tetrahedrite along with iron carbonate and and calcite. The veins were narrow, less than 15 cm wide. The strike of the quartz veins varied from 060 degrees to 065 degrees with dips ranging from 68 degrees to vertical to the southeast.
