Mar 30, 2020 (R Tuomi) - 1939: Surface chip sample assayed up to 0.88 ounce gold per ton over 0.75 ft from quartz veins. In 1939, Sylvanite Gold Mines noted the presence blue quartz float, well mineralized and carrying visible gold on occasion. They noted also that the float had not been transported far. Several grab samples assayed from 0.1 to 0.88 ounce gold per ton over 0.21 to 0.61 m in width. 1947: A 46 m long diamond drill hole A1N was completed for the Anderson Group. The hole was collared in sheared greenstone mafic metavolcanics) with diorite and feldspar porphyry intrusives. From the log, the diorite may be a coarse feldspar porphyry. Down hole, at the lower contact of the diorite, the greenstone was sheared and mineralized by pyrrhotite and pyrite. Samples taken over a 3.9m interval gave from nil to 0.02 ounce gold per ton. The best intersection was 0.02 ounce gold per ton over 1 m.
