Access Description: The best access to the area is from Sturgeon Lake. In summer, a boat can be launched from any access point on Sturgeon Lake from Cobb Bay to Horizontal Bay. A short walk off the northwest corner of King Bay will reach the site. In winter a snowmobile or aircraft can be used.
1970: Silverside Mines Ltd. flew an airborne EM and magnetic survey. 1971: Zone C is defined by geological and geophysical surveys done by Silverside. Steep Rock Resources Inc. 1973: Diamond drill holes 1,2 and 3 were drilled to a depth of 200 feet in the anomalous area by Silverside Mines Ltd. No assays. 1983: Diamond drill hole #KB-29-83 totalling 823.5 m was drilled by Steep Rock Resources Inc.

03/30/2020 (T Pettigrew) - DDH KB-29-83 returned up to 1.278 ppm Au over 0.6 feet from a blue quartz vein with pyrite and chalcopyrite in laminated graphitic argillite and mafic to intermediate tuffs (Assessment report 52J02SW0040)
