02/13/2020 (T Pettigrew) - The total area of this basin bog is 76 ha with peat depth exceeding 2 m on 16 ha. The average depth of the 17 points investigated on this deposit was 2.1 m. The maximum depth encountered was 4.9 m. Tree cover is generally open. The surficial layer was thin with H4 comprising over 50% of the total peat layer and resulting in a moderate rating of fuel quality. The peat layer consisted of moss peats but mixed composition and thin surficial layer resulted in a poor rating of horticultural quality. Stump content was 0.85% (OFR5543).
