Mineralization Comments

Feb 13, 2020 (R Tuomi) - The Lake-of-Bays River group is underlain by mafic meta-volcanics which trend east to southeast. The granite-volcanic contact associated with the King Bay, Sturgeon Lake area deposits lies to the north of the property. On the south portion of the claim block a coarse grained quartz-feldspar porphyry intrudes the volcanics. The mafic volcanics are either pillow basalts or porphyritic dark green flows with hornblende and/or feldspar phenocrysts. Calcite and epidote replacement is common. Interflow sediments are altered to limonite and hematite in shear zones. The sediments contain minor amounts of pyrite. Two rock types returned anomalous gold values. The shear zones in interflow sediments have values between 11 to 185 ppb gold. The porphyry unit ranged from 5 to 1509 ppb gold with an average of 402 ppb for 7 samples. A chip sample (B-9) taken over 5 feet, return an assay of 1009 ppb gold ( 0.03 ounce gold per ton).

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (R Tuomi) - Shearing.
