Exploration History

1968: Phelps Dodge Corporation completed a magnetics and horizontal loop survey over the western portion of the property. Can be roughly separated into 3 main zones. 1970: Phelps Dodge Corporation in 1970 drills three holes on the property encountering 79 m of 0.16% Cu from drill hole 70-3. 1987: Government Airborne Electromagnetic and Total Intensity Magnetic surveys were published for the region. 1998: Synergy Explorations Ltd staked the property and completed linecutting, geological mapping, lithogeochemical and MMI sampling. Synergy followed up in 1999 with lithogeochemical sampling and geological reconnaissance mapping. 2007: Staked by Dave Healey. Prospecting of copper occurrences from former Phelps Dodge work is undertaken. 2008: Abitibi Mining options the Healey's Centrefire/Redhat property. 2009: Abitibi Mining completes prospecting and trenching program enlarging the Copper/gold mineralization on Centrefire with Cu assays up to 1.1% Cu. 2010: Property covered by a VTEM survey. 2011: Abitibi completed a single 168 m drill hole. 2012: Abitibi dropped its option on the property.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 04, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - Dilling intersected copper and minor nickel and gold mineralization in Early Precambrian andesite. Scattered chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite occur as seams, blebs and specks. An iron formation is present in the area to the east of the property (SMDR 00523).


Jun 14, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1968: 10 ddh drilled, 4 contain anom Cu, one contains anom Ni, best assays up to 0.67% Cu, 0.215% Ni, and 0.02 oz/t Au over widths of 7 to 10 ft.
