Carricona Gold MInes Ltd. was organized in 1938 to acquire the property. 1938: Surface work. 1944: at least 13 drill holes were completed (not recorded). 1980: Minorex Ltd. stake a portion of the property.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The southern and central parts of the property are underlain by mafic to intermediated flows and flow breccias. The northern third of the property is underlain by felsic volcanic rocks. Dikes of diorite, gabbro, quartz porphyry, feldspar porphyry and granite had been observed on the property.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The No 1 showing consists of narrow quartz stringers up to 12 cm wide, which have been traced on surface for 45.8 m. An average width of the zone of approximately 4.58 m has been reported. The zone is situated in a unit of sheared quartz porphyry.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - It has been reported that samples over widths of 1.22 m returned gold values of up to 0.63 oz/ton ( 21.6 g/tonne).
