Lithology Comments

Apr 14, 2020 (Samuel Lewis) - This MDI location was mapped as mafic metavolcanics consisting of basaltic - andesite flows by Riley (1975). In 2004, mapping by the Geological Survey of Canada in this area identified tholeiitic basaltic flows and associated gabbroic rocks, and komatiite flows, of the Balmer Assemblage. Drilling by Parvus Mines indicates that much of the local geology can be characterised by dacites, acid pyroclastics, welded tuffs, metabasalts, with the occasional lamprophyres and diorites.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 14, 2020 (Samuel Lewis) - Mapping by Riley, R.A. in 1975 identified Au, Ag, arsenopyrite, pyrite mineralization along the north end of a swampy area. Drilling by Parvus Mines intercepted significant Zn, Au mineralization characterised by 0.53% Zn over 9', 8.73% Zn over 1', and 0.1 oz Au over 2.2'. A 2 foot 0.03 oz Au sample was collected from an heavily brecciated andesite immediately to the south of this MDI location. This MDI location is at the northwest tip of a high linear magnetic feature that appears to be anticlined with a northwest southeast axial trace.
