1945: Belgold Mines Ltd. carried out prospecting, trenching, and shallow drilling. Unknown date between 1945 and 1969: 8 drill holes by Currie, Mahoney, and Macdougall, and drilling by Inco. 1970: Newmont Mining Corp. conducted horizontal loop EM and magnetic surveys, and drilled 9 DDH totalling 1032.4 m.

Nov 17, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - Small amounts of chalcopyrite associated with pyrrhotite and pyrite are found in an iron formation which adjoins basic metavolcanics or in shears and fractures in the Early Precambrian basic metavolcanics (SMDR 00549).
