Mineralization Comments

Feb 13, 2012 (A McKee) - GRADE 1988 GRAB SAMPLE: 1880 PPB AU. 2007: 4 DDH, best assays 6.08 g/t over 1 m, and 9.25 g/t over 1 m.

Oct 15, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - The silica sulfide replacement zones have been the focus of exploration at the Dixie Limb Zone. This zone is associated with the rheological and geochemical contact between pillow basalt (Fe-Tholeiites) and massive basalt (Mg-Tholeiites). The contact is often marked by argillite/siltstones. Mineralization occurs as replacement of sediments if present, or, as silica flooding and quartz-calcite veining in the absence of sediments. Pyrrhotite is the dominant sulphide, with sulphides ranging in concentrations from 2-40% pyrrhotite, 2-15% pyrite,1-4% arsenopyrite, 2% chalcopyrite, minor <2% sphalerite and trace magnetite. Visible gold is not uncommon, and where observed, it is associated with strong pyrrhotite and weaker arsenopyritepyrite mineralization. Drilling on the Dixie Limb zone have defined a steeply dipping consistent gold zone, 5-10 m wide, mineralized from surface to 450 m depth and at a current strike length of 500 m (Adamova, 2020). Drilling of a strong EM conductor discovered 0.212 oz/ton gold over 8.9 feet in a hole DL88-4, resulting in the "88-4 Zone”. Another DDH, 89-25, intersected a new zone of auriferous silicification (0.090 oz/ton Au over 3.4 feet) about 150 m south of the 88-4 zone. DDH DL-96-02 returned up to 1.5 ppm Au over 0.7 m from tuff with massive pyrrhotite and disseminated arsenopyrite, 1.62 ppm Au over 0.7 m from a strongly deformed pyrrhotite-rich argillite unit, and 3.45 ppm Au over 0.5 m from a chert with pyrrhotite. DDH DL-96-03 returned up to 5.5 ppm Au over 0.4 m from an argillite. DDH BL-96-04 returned up to 7.45 ppm Au over 0.3 m from an intermediate tuff with disseminated arsenopyrite. DDH DL-96-06 returned up to 3.36 ppm Au over 0.6 m from a tuff with fine pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite. DDH DL-96-7 returned up to 0.595 oz/t Au (20.4 g/t Au) over 0.6 m from a tuff with 10% fine stringer arsenopyrite (Assessment report 52K13SE0034).
