1969-1970: Caravelle Mines drilled 5 holes totalling 693.7 m as a follow up to a regional airborne survey on the eastern portion of the property. 1978-1985: Selco carried out ground Mag, HLEM and UTEM geophysical surveys on the property. A total of 11 DDH totalling 1145 m were drilled to test targets generated. 1990-1992: Noranda acquires the Joy property and completes ground Mag and HLEM geophysical surveys. 1992: 4-hole DDH program totalling 968.3 m was completed. 1993-1995: Noranda, Major General Resources and Pathfinder Resources drill 18 DDH totalling 6040 m. The south-Caravelle horizon has been enhanced by surface PEM but has yet to be tested.

Feb 07, 2012 (A McKee) - 1970 - DDH J-2: best 4.44% Zn and 0.22% Cu over 1.1 m at 251.4-255 (3.6 ft).
Oct 04, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Caravelle Zone was discovered by Caravelle Mines in 1969. The zone is localized along the southern mineralized horizon and was traced by diamond drilling for a 100 m strike length to a depth of <100 m. The occurrence consists of several Cu-Zn stringer sulphide mineralized zones up to 5 m wide with local high grade massive sulphide zones (0.13% Cu, 21.6% Zn/0.25 m). The mineralization is hosted by altered felsic-intermediate pyroclastics (Assessment reports 52K14NE0044, 52K14NE2015). Mineralization occurs mainly in quartz veins and fracture filling sin Early Precambrian amphibolite and granodiorite. Sphalerite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite were identified. A few core sections contained massive sphalerite with disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite (SMDR 00500).
