Exploration and Mining History

1939: mapping by Ontario Government Geologist. 1945-46 Pemican and Hager staked 8 claims north of Panama Lake. Reportedly 1500 ft of DDH in 1946. 1960: Aeromagnetic survey, 1978: St. Joseph Explorations Ltd. carried out mapping and ground geophysical surveys. 1980: mapped by OGS, 1986: staked by Noranda Exploration - cut grid, detailed mapping, humus sampling, magnetometer and VLF. 1988: Noranda drilled 8 DDH totalling 953 m. 2008: Metals Creek Resources conducted line cutting and total field magnetic survey. 2010: Metals Creek Resources conducted a geophysical and prospecting program. 2018: Benton Resources drilled 7 DDH.

Mineralization Comments

02/07/2012 (A Mckee) - GRADE 1945: 0.04-0.26 OPT AU REPORTEDLY, GRADE 1986 GRAB,CHIP,CHANNEL SAMPLES: TR-14.4 G/TONNE-BEST CHANNEL S:10.3/1.1M AVE GRADE (131 CHAN S) IS 3 G/TONNE, GRADE 1988 - 8 DDH'S: BEST: 2.8 G/TONNE/4.5M @86.0M. 2010: The 13 samples taken from the main trenched area returned gold values ranging from 9ppb up to 3.025 g/t Au. Most samples were between 500-1000 ppb Au with 3 samples over 2.0g/t Au. The highest gold values obtained were within and the area surrounding a historic blasted pit. It was from these 12 samples that the highest and most consistent gold values were obtained. Assays ranged from 227ppb Au up to 13.331 g/t Au with fairly consistent values between 1-7 g/t Au. From the 8 samples taken to the west of the trenching, no significant values were obtained as assays ranged from 6ppb to 49ppb within intriguing looking, sulphide-rich, silicified volcanics. Of the 4 samples taken to the east of the main trenching, gold values returned were 122ppb, 719ppb, 863ppb and 1769ppb. (taken from assessment file 2.47455)

04/10/2019 (T Pettigrew) - Gold mineralization on the property appears to be related to a NE-trending shear zone exposed over 300-400 m. The zone trends 60 degrees, dips vertically to steeply south, and plunges 50-70 degrees to the west. It has an exposed width of up to 10 m. This zone is characterized by intense silicification, sericitization, and moderate tourmaline enrichment. Pyrite is disseminated throughout the zone in amounts ranging from trace up to 0.5% (Assessment report 20000006137). Assays from the 2019 Benton Resources drill program included the following: PL-19-01: 1.58 g/t Au over 7.6 m, including 2.34 g/t Au over 4.7 m; PL-19-02: 1.23 g/t Au over 6.5 m; PL-19-03: 1.21 g/t Au over 5.8 m including 2.55 g/t Au over 2 m; PL-19-04: 1.07 g/t Au over 5.8 m including 1.67 g/t Au over 2.8 m; PL-19-05B: 0.57 g/t Au over 16.1 m including 2.07 g/t Au over 2 m (Benton Resources March 4, 2019 press release). A quartz vein located at NAD83 UTM Zone 15 526606 m E 5646569 m N returned an assay of 13.331 g/t Au (Assessment file 20000006137).
