1957: Sogemines Development Co. conducted a geological survey and sampling. 216 m of DD in 7 holes. 1962-63: Sogemines conducted sampling, airborne and ground geophysical surveys. 1987: sampling. 2001: Atikwa Minerals Ltd. conducted geological mapping and sampling.

Jan 18, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - The main lithologies are silicified metasediments and granitic gneisses within a large area of mostly peraluminous granitoid rocks (AFRI 52L07NE2003).

Jan 18, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Samples from Atikwa’s 2001 program returned assays ranging from 4640-85800 ppm Cu (up to 8.58% Cu) and up to 1610 ppb Au, from pods of massive sulphides comprised mainly of chalcopyrite, pyrite, and minor molybdenite (AFRI 52L07NE2003).
