Exploration History

1970: Mextor Minerals carried out EM and magnetic surveys. 1971: Mextor Mines Ltd. drilled 4 DDH totalling 378.9 m. 1973: Cochenour Willians Gold Mines Ltd., Coin Lake Gold Mines Ltd., and Selco Mining Corp Ltd. jointly carried out mapping, magnetic and EM surveys, and drilled 14 DDH totalling 1128.7 m. 1975: Selco Mining Corporation Ltd. carried out mapping and drilled 1 DDH totalling 222.8 m. 1984: Noranda Exploration Company Ltd. carried out EM and magnetic surveys, prospecting and sampling, and drilled 4 DDH totalling 921.41 m.

Oct 30, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - The pegmatite is described as coarse grained and salmon pink in colour, with green epidote (AFRI 52L09NW0013).

Oct 30, 2018 (Therese Pettigrew) - Mextor Mines’ 1971 DDH #3 assayed up to 9.27% Zn, 0.71% Cu, and 0.76 opt Ag. DDH #4 assayed up to 4.96% Zn, 0.13% Cu, and 0.2 opt Ag (AFRI 52L09NW0014). DDH S-73-1 assayed up to 9.46% Zn, 2.5% Cu, and 0.69 opt Ag. DDH S-73-3 assayed up to 5.36% Zn, 1.85% Cu, and 0.74 opt Ag. DDH S-73-5 assayed up to 23.5% Zn, 0.37% Cu, and 0.24 opt Ag. Mineralization included pyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, and chalcopyrite, with pyrite and pyrrhotite occasionally being massive (AFRI 52L09NW0013).
