Exploration History

1963: Cochenour Willans Gold Mines did trenching, and carried out self potential, magnetometer and geological surveys. 1979: Dome Exploration Canada Ltd. performed HLEM, and magnetometer surveys. In 1989 Noramco Explorations IC, and Golden Day Mining Explorations Inc. samples humus for geochemistry, mapped and drilled the same area. Mineralization Comments

Sep 30, 2020 (K R Kettles) - Gold in association with pyrite and chalcopyrite has been reported from a trench in the pyritic argillite. Work by Minorex to the south indicates this showing correlates with an HLEM anomaly at least 762 m long. A grab sample collected in this area by the Ontario Geological Survey in 1969 assayed only trace values of gold and silver. Sampling done in 2001 by Goldcorp confirmed the trace values of Au, Pt, and Pd (Assessment report 52M01SE2018).
