Newman. 1974: Rowan Gold Mines Limited (subsidiary of Dickenson Mines Limited). 1975: Cochenour Explorations completed mag and HLEM surveys. 1983: Goldquest Explorations Inc conducted a radiometric survey. 1983-85: Goldquest completed lithogeochemical survey, stripping, washing, detailed mapping and sampling on the Martian Bay Property. 1989: Chevron Minerals Ltd. completed geological mapping and rock sampling. 2000: Goldcorp completed helicopter-borne mag, electromag, VLF and radiometric surveys. 2007: Hy Lake Gold optioned Rowan property from Goldcorp.

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - GEOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION: Trenches in the southwest corner of KRL 10408 exposed a silicified and carbonatized zone at least 10 m wide in felsic tuff. The zone strikes southwest and continues into claims to the south. This zone is mineralized with pyrite, with minute blebs of galena and chalcopyrite and with gold. This zone was known as the #5 prospect (Bishop 1934). DEPOSIT DESCRIPITON: A silicified and carbonatized zone at least 10 m wide carries gold.

Mar 19, 2012 (K R Kettles) - MDI1 DATA: GRADE 1934 - 2 GRAB SAMPLES: 0.06 AND 0.03 OPT AU Two grab samples of mineralized material collected by Bishop (1934) assayed 0.06 and 0.03 oz/ton (2.057 and 1.029 g/tonne) Au. 2007: 2 DDH in this area, assays retuned include 8.17 g/t Au over 1m, and 9.88 g/t over 1.
