Lithology Comments

Nov 13, 2020 (K R Kettles) - This area is underlain by east-west striking, steeply dipping sandstone and conglomerate, by a layer of chert-magnetite iron formation about 30 m thick and mafic lava. Some trenches were put down on iron formation in the 1930's and quartz veins in these rocks yielded only low values in gold (Horwood, 1940). A grab sample collected in the clastic sediments (Riley, 1978) ran 0.03 oz/ton Au (1.03 g/tonne).

MDI 1 DATA: GRADE 1969 OGS GRAB SAMPLE: 0.03 OPT AU AND 0.23 OPT AG, GRADE 1983 DDH ON CENTER OF KRL12994,S: 0.01-0.03 DOWN TO 15.4 M,INT. @ 420,440,476M ARE 0.48,0.52,0.31 /40 CM EACH.

Nov 13, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDH P-3 was drilled 170 m to the SW of the surface showing and returned up to 0.03 oz/t Au over 0.5 m from 14.4-14.9 m, from metasediments with occasional bands of massive sulphides (mainly pyrite with minor pyrrhotite) (Assessment report 52M01SE0005).
