Lithology Comments

Nov 22, 2014 (K R Kettles) - Intermediate pyroclastic rocks containing some mafic lava and siltstone are sheared NW-SE parallel to strike and contain auriferous quartz veins. The shearing is up to 2m wide and has reportedly been traced 174 m (Horwood 1940).

Mineralization Comments

Mar 22, 2012 (K R Kettles) - A silicified shear zone in intermediate pyroclastics is up to 2m wide and 174 m long. It contains quartz veins with gold, silver, minor pyrite, pyrrhotite, and chalcopyrite. Assays from 1935 are the following: .02 opt Au/.18 m, .06 opt Au/.91 m, .11 opt Au/.91 m, .16 opt Au/.46 m., .19 opt Au/.91 m, .04 opt Au/.76 m, and .03 opt Au/.37 m. A grab sample in a trench to the north of the main showing assayed .01 opt Au and 1.67 opt Ag, in 1969. 2008 best assays retuned 0.38 g/t Au up to 1.08 g/t Au. Taken from a 2 metre wide shear on the contact between a basalt and rhyolite flow.

Nov 22, 2014 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected in 1935 returned assays ranging from 0.02 oz/t Au over 0.18 m to 0.19 oz/t Au over 0.91 m. A grab sample collected in 1969 from a trench north of the main showing assayed 0.01 oz/t Au and 1.67 oz/t Ag.

Sep 30, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDH RL08-04 returned up to 3.62 g/t Au over 0.6 m from a mineralized veinlet in a felsic tuff and 3.42 g/t Au over 1 m from a quartz-carbonate veinlet in a felsic tuff. DDH RL08-05 returned up to 9.36 g/t Au over 0.25 m from a quartz vein in an intermediate tuff (Assessment report 20000004122). Samples collected in 2006 returned up to 22.7 g/t Au and 79.2 g/t Ag, and 19.55 g/t au and 104 g/t Ag from an intensely sheared, limonitic, mafic metavolcanic (Assessment report 20000002000).
