Exploration History

1936: Owned by Faulkenham Lake Gold Mines Ltd. 1960: Property owned by W. Stupack. 1969: Grab Sample by Ontario Geological Survey. 2004: Goldcorp carried out prospecting and sampling. 2007: Halo Resources conducted IP and magnetic surveys. 2009: Halo Resources conducted a program of reconnaissance mapping and channel sampling. 2010: Halo Resources drilled 1 DDH totalling 150 m.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - Mafic flows and tuff, and felsic tuff are cut by a carbonatized mafic dike. The rocks strike east-west and dip steeply to the north. Gold has been reported from this locality.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 22, 2012 (K R Kettles) - Gold has been reported from this locality. Ore Minerals are the following: gold, silver, with minor pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, and nickel. A grab sample assay by the OGSin 1969 is: 0.01 OPT AU,0.32 OPT AG, 0.18% CU, 0.05% NI, 0.55% ZN. 2009 Au 0.376 ppm
