Aug 14, 2020 (K R Kettles) - This area is underlain by the thick steeply-dipping unit of chemical sediments that stretches from the head of Trout Bay eastward into Todd Township. A diamond drill hole intersected volcanic rocks to a core length of 65.84 m, and sediments below that depth. A 1.22 m core sample of thinly bedded chert, dolomite, and black pyrite-rich carbonaceous argillite assayed 0.022 opt Au.

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - A thick steeply-dipping unit of chemical sediments consisting of thinly bedded chert, dolomite, and black pyrite-rich carbonaceous argillite.

Aug 14, 2020 (K R Kettles) - Gold, pyrite, and minor pyrrhotite was encountered in a 1.22 m length of diamond drill core in chemical and carbonaceous sediments. Scheelite occurred in the non-gold bearing part of the core. GRADE - 1980-DDH: 0.022 OPT AU OVER 1.22 M. The drill hole was spotted on the basis of an EM conductor attributed to graphite and sulphides. GRADE - 1986 - CHIP SAMPLES: BEST 10.34 OPT AG, 0.02 OPT AU/6 FT.
Aug 14, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDH 135B-1 returned up to 0.40 oz/t Au over 4 feet (13.7 g/t Au over 1.2 m) from a bedded sediment with pyrite seams and pyrrhotite replacement in dolomitic chert beds (Assessment report 52M01SE0501).
