Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - A unit of chert-magnetite iron formation and siltstone strikes NW-SE, dips to the NE and occurs within felsic tuff. Trenches have exposed auriferous quartz veins in the sediments. Sampling by the Ontario Geological Survey in 1969 indicates the gold-bearing zone may be 245 m long.
