Exploration History

1927: Leonard Narrow Lake Mines Ltd. conducted stripping and trenching on two separate areas of east trending quartz veins in the vicinity of Leonard Lake. 1967-1988 airborne and/or ground geophysics were conducted by Leonard Narrow Lake Mines Ltd, Madsen Red Lake Gold Mines, C.C Huston and Associates and Canadian Eagle Exploration Inc. 1975: MW Resources Ltd. drilled 3 DDH totalling 153.5 m. 2002: Fronteer Development conducted airborne magnetic and EM surveys, prospecting, mapping, sampling, and soil sampling. 2003: Fronteer Development carried out a till and rock sampling program, as well as airborne magnetica and EM surveys.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 24, 2014 (A McKee) - A 1975 DDH returned an assay of 0.03 oz/t Au over 0.5 ft, 0.93% Zn over 1.1 ft and 0.1% Cu over 0.7 ft. (Assessment report 52N02NW0025). 2002: Fronteer Development grab sample: 0.3 g/t Au, 4.89 Silver and 7420 ppm Cu. 2004: Fronteer Development conducted a geochemical assessment. Included rock and MMI soil samples. Best assays returned: 815-4410 ppb Au,


Nov 15, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - Sphalerite and pyrite in a gossan zone enclosed by Early Precambrian amphibolite (SMDR 00535).
