Access Description: From South Bay road to Otter Road to Joyce Lake road, 1km before end of road a secondary road is taken to the right. This road is followed for 2km.

Exploration History

1926-1929: Thos Dunkin - prospecting, stripping trenching. 1928: Dunkin Gold Mines was incorporated and a three compartment shaft was constructed. 1969: C.C. Huston and Associates completed an airborne magnetic survey. 1974-75: Northmark Mines Ltd completed new stripping/sampling, geological mapping and magnetometer and VLF surveys. 1987-88: Golden Hat Resources - 5 DDH total of 189 m. 1987-89: Canadian Patricia Mines Ltd: linecutting, geological mapping, mag, VLF and IP surveys. 10 DDH @ 5351 ft. 1995: Hawke and Campbell - till sampling and chip sampling. 2002: Teck Cominco Ltd completed a exploration program. 2004: Sabina Silver Corporation completed mechanical stripping and trenching. 2004-05: Exsics Exploration Ltd, completed line cutting and ground mag surveys. 2006 Sabina completed one DDH @ 489.5 m. 2009: Sabina completed a 10 DDH program at 2045 m.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 21, 2014 (A McKee) - Diamond drilling of the Dunkin Vein in 1975 intersected up to 2.95 oz/t Au. Samples collected from a trench in 1987 returned values up to 1.64 oz/t Au. Diamond drilling on KRL389915-389914 returned an assay of 0.07 oz/t Au over 2 ft; 1.56 oz/t Au, 2 oz/t Ag, 2% Cu over 4.6 ft. In 2009 DH 08 returned 1m @ 2.07 g/t Au, DH 06 1.1m @ 1.1 g/t Au.
