Gold was found on the property in 1925 (Laidlaw). Property was optioned to Coniasgas Mines Ltd., who carried out an unknown amount of surface work including sampling, stripping, and trenching. 1928-29: Bobjo Mine carried out surface and underground development work, sinking an 82 m shaft on two levels. Over 487 m of lateral development was completed but only minimal mining was done. An open cut was exploited where high-grade gold was processed through a small stamp mill on the property for a minor production of 361.7 ounces of gold and 29 ounces of silver. Between 1937-1939 surface exploration program was carried out by New York Oils Ltd. under T.L. Fawcett, with 2134 m of diamond drilling completed. No work was recorded and the project was shut down due to the war effort. 2006-07 Mainstream Minerals Corp, and King's Bay Gold Corporation Ltd carried out VLF-EM and ground magnetic geophysical surveys and a diamond drilling program of 28 drill holes totalling 5717.1 m. 2008: Mainstream Minerals drilled 5 DDH. 2010: Premier Gold optioned the property and conducted an airborne mag/EM survey and drilled 5 DDH totalling 1679.3 m.

Jun 13, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - The Bobjo property is underlain by intermediate to mafic, massive to pillowed, locally variolitic volcanics and associated fragmentals. The rock units typically strike northeast to southwest and are mainly composed of homogenous mafic metavolcanic flows and pillow lavas intruded by north-trending quartz-feldspar porphyry dykes and gabbro sills (Parker and Atkinson, 1992; Assessment report 20000006394).

Feb 03, 2012 (A McKee) - GRADE 1939(?) GRAB SAMPLES: FROM MAIN VEIN TR.-0.06 OPT AU, PRODUCTION 1928-29: 362 OZ AU AND 29 OZ AG. 2007- 27 Drill holes completed in this area with multiple gold intercepts. And many holes returned visible gold indications. Drill hole BJ07-14, the first four assays were in V.G with the best value excedding 6.3opt over .03m of core length, from 0.0-3.9 m. The average gold grade was 0.928 opt with the best intercept from 0.6-1.5 m averaging 3.82 opt in gold. (several assays returned from 27 drill holes, refer to assessment file 2.37462 for more details.)
Jun 13, 2019 (Therese Pettigrew) - Gold found on the Bobjo property is typically associated with pyrite mineralization within and proximal to shear-hosted quartz +/- carbonate +/- chlorite veins, or as cryptocrystalline mineralization within what look like barren, milky quartz veins. Gold mineralization appears to follow a preferred orientation, generally tending west-northwest which corresponds to the orientation of D2 deformation within the Red Lake-Uchi Greenstone Belt. Quartz stringers and veins host carbonate, sericite, chlorite, pyrite, pyrrhotite, and fine visible gold. A grab sample taken from spherulitic felsic flows on the property by OGS staff member B.T. Atkinson in 1992 assayed 290 ppb Au, 4 ppm Ag, 420 ppm Cu, 3.1% Zn, and 59 ppm Cd (Parker and Atkinson, 1992). Assays from the 2010 drill program returned values up to 4.796 g/t Au, with 2.96 g/t Au over 2.5 m found in DDH RG1001 and 6.127 g/t Au over 0.7 m in DDH RG1004 (Assessment report 20000006394).
