Aug 14, 2020 (Samuel Lewis) - This MDI is located predominantly within the Balmer assemblage which is characterised by lower pillowed and massive tholeiitic basalt and associated gabbros that are typically aphyric, sparsely vesicular, and include HiTi basalts (basalts with greater then 1.5% TiO2) and commonly cut by quartz feldspar porphyry dykes east of Beatrice Peninsula, East Bay.

Aug 14, 2020 (Samuel Lewis) - DDH 147-16, drilled by Dome in 1986, was collared 127 azimuth dipping 45 intersected 0.2 and 0.4 oz/t Au over 2 foot sample intervals. The samples were collected within biotitic basalt, with 20% quartz veins, and altered by silification and epidote. The logger identified to small specks of visible gold in samples which contained anomalous gold values. Also, soil sampling conducted by Wolfden Resources in 2003 identified the existence of anomalous gold along the south shore of East Bay, close to the location of this MDI point.
