Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - GEOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION: Mafic metavolcanic flows underlie the occurrence. They are generally massive to weakly foliated but locally have been intensely sheared. The rocks strike slightly north of east, and dip steeply to the south. Thin metasedimentary units are interbedded with the volcanics. Locally, these units have been highly sheared, and are altered. Small quartz porphyry intrusions are present in the area. DEPOSIT DESCRIPTION: Gold mineralization occurs in quartz-carbonate veins of varying thickness in sheared mafic volcanics. One 0.75 m section of drill core returned 0.60 oz/ton (20.571 g/tonne) Ag. Only low gold values have been reported from elsewheere on the property.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - MDI1 DATA: GRADE 1965 DDH-65-5: 0.04 OPT AU/0.6 FT, 0.08 OPT AU/0.7 FT, GRADE 1967 DDH-67-2: TR.AU, 0.60 OPT AG/2.5 FT Only low values for gold were returned from drill core assays, the best being 0.08 oz/ton (2.743 g/tonne) over 21 cm, 0.04 oz/ton (1.371 g/tonne) over 18 cm and 0.04 oz/ton (1.371 g/tonne) over 42 cm. One 0.75 section of core returned 0.60 oz/ton (20.571 g/tonne) Ag.

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The mafic metavolcanics contain abundant biotite. Where sheared, these rocks are chloritized and sercitized, and quartz-carbonate stringers are common. Garnets and amphiboles occur locally. Tourmaline is present in some quartz stringers. Ultramafic rocks have been altered to talc and chlorite assemblages.
