Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The occurrence is underlain by conglomerate and greywacke, striking NE-SW and dipping sub vertically. Mineralization is controlled by NW striking fractures which cut accross the sedimentary rocks. The occurrence is comprised of small quartz stringers in highly silicified pyritiferous conglomerate. Minor amounts of chalcopyrite have also been reported from the showing. The quartz stringers are located along NW striking fractures.

MDI1 DATA: GRADE 1969 OGS GRAB SAMPLE: BEST:0.03 OPT AU, 0.17 OPT AG, 0.1%CU, GRADE 1945 GRAB FROM TRENCH: 0.12 OPT AU,BUT AVERAGE FROM TRENCHING AND DRILLING WAS LOWER.

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - Small zones of fuchsite bearing carbonatized metasediments have been observed in the vicinity of teh occurrence. The metasediments adjacent to the quartz veins are highly silicified.
