Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The property is underlain mainly by mafic volcanic flows with a few thin intercalated units of iron formation and associated greywackes. Gold mineralization occurs in a narrow section of iron formation.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The iron formation is 18.8 m thick and contains bands of cherty quartz and carbonate with minor sulphides and magnetite.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 24, 2012 (K R Kettles) - Anomalous gold values occur in a narrow section (0.8 m) of an 18.8 m thich iron formation unit. This section contains bands of cherty quartz and carbonate, with minor magnetite, pyrite, and pyrrhotite. DDh # 80-7 intersected a narrow section of iron formation which assayed 0.60 dwt/ton Au over 0.8 m. 2008: Hole AL-08-02 Best assay returned 394 ppb over 1 m. Only significant assay found. Hole AL-08-03: best assay returned 3.52 g/t over 1 (?) m

Aug 10, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1977 DDH 80-7: intersected narrow section of IF which assayed 0.60 dwt/ton Au over 0.8 m. DDH 80-8 assayed 0.80 dwt/ton over 1.4 ft, DDH 80-11 assayed 1.60 dwt/ton over 0.43 m.

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The mafic metavolcanic flows are locally biotitic and contain up to 10% carbonate.
