Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The rocks in the vicinity of the occurrence consist of an interlayered sequence of thin to medium bedded felsic tuffs. The tuffaceous rocks strike N 50 degs E and dip 80 to 90 degs NW. The occurrence consists of auriferous quartz lenses in a shear zone which strikes NE.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The quartz lenses in the shear zone contain gold with minor pyrite and arsenopyrite. They strike N 25 degs E, dip 79 degs NW, and have been exposed for 60 m along strike. They vary in width from 15 to 45 cm, and are composed of greyish white quartz with minor amounts of sulphides. Samples across the quartz lenses range from 0.02 to 0.20 opt Au.


May 13, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1934: chip/channel samples: in trench assay up to 0.12 opt Au/1.6 ft (3 DDHs also). 1986: grab samples: assay up to 3150 ppb Au. 1987 - 3 DDHs: best assay 600 ppb Au/0.3 m (NMK-87-01).
