Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - Much of the Redaurum property is underlain by mafic metavolcanic flows and a few mafic to ultramafic sills and/or dikes. Rock units generally strike east-west and dip steeply to the south. Adjacent to the strong NE striking lineament extending from Paulore Lake along Dam Creek, the mafic flows have been almost completely altered to massive carbonate. A thin band (150 m) of felsic volcanics outcrops in the north-central part of the property. Intercalated with both the felsic and mafic volcanics are several relativeluy narrow and apparently discontinuous bands of iron formation. The Redaurum No. 3 Zone is comprised of oxide facies iron formation offset by small cross faults. The formation has a strike length of 168 m and 4.6 m.

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - Adjacent to the NE striking lineament the mafic flows have been almost completely altered to massive carbonate. A few mafic to ultramafic sills cut the mafic volcanics. The iron formation which hosts the gold is an oxide facies band.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 30, 2020 (K R Kettles) - The No. 3 Zone is comprised of a SE trending band of oxide facies iron formation offset by small cross faults. The formation is 167.75 m long in strike and has a maximum width of 4.6 m. Visible gold has been observed in some of the trenches. Generally, low values were returned from this zone, with the occasional high assay where visible gold was noted. Grade 1945: several DDHs best section in iron formation at 33.3 ft-0.525 opt Au/7.4 ft (hole R-6). Grade 1985: 3 DDHs best section in iron formation at 163.9 ft-0.15 opt Au/1 ft (Hole 85R13). Reserves 1986: estimates 7,700 to 102,500 t @ 0.18 opt Au may exist.

Nov 30, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - Hole RD07010 returned several intersections over 1 g/t gold. The most significant interval from 250.25 to 268.00m averaging a grade of 1.78 g/t over 17.75m. The interval is hosted in and crosses from chert-magnetite iron formation into pillowed mafic flows. Iron formation, from 256.00 to 258.00m, with 5% pyrrhotite and pyrite, minor sphalerite, trace chalcopyrite, and minor fine arsenopyrite averaged 7.04 g/t gold (Assessment report 20000007878). Where the iron formation is fractured and brecciated, and filled with quartz and carbonate, commercial values of gold are obtained. It has been found that where the iron formation is out by cross faults it is fractured and brecciated to a greater degree than between the cross faults. DDH No. 6, which obtained an intersection over 7.4 feet, assaying $22.00 over 3.7 feet (0.64 oz/t Au over 1.13 m) and $14.70 over 3.7 feet (0.41 oz/t Au over 1.13 m) was in fractured and brecciated iron formation (Assessment report 52N04SW0240).

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The mafic metavolcanic country rocks have been silicified and carbonatized.
