Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The property is underlain by mafic metavolcanic flows and gabbro sills and dikes. Flows are both pillowed and massive, with pillow tops to the northwest. In the vicinity of the showings, a long narrow metagabbro sill/dike intrudes into the metavolcanics. This dike trends NE-SW, perpendicular to the strike(apparrent) of the volcanics. Several small quartz-feldspar porphyry and quartz porphyry dikes are present. The mafic metavolcanics in or adjacent to shear zones have been silicified and carbonatized. The No. 3 quartz vein is traced along strike for over 200 m.

Mafic lava flow-unsubdivided 2 Basalt, Altered Pillowed And Massive Flows Adjacent
Gabbro 3 Gabbro Sill/Dike Near

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The mafic metavolcanics include pillowed and massive flows. The gabbro sills and dikes are coarse grained. The minor felsic dikes in the area are quartz-feldspar porphyry and quartz porphyry. The mafic metavolcanics adjacent to the shear zones and veins have been silicified and carbonatized.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 19, 2012 (K R Kettles) - The Redruth No. 3 quartz vein has been traced along strike for over 200 m, and is well mineralized with arsenopyrite and other sulphides. The vein has also been reported to contain free gold. 1945: grab samples assay up to 1.3 opt Au, DDH #22 assays 0.02 opt Au (from the original MDI). 2008: drill hole HUM08006 returned assays of 1.02 g/t Au over 1 m

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The mafic metavolcanics in or adjacent to shear zones and the quartz veins have been locally silicified and carbonatized.
