Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The Colley occurrence is located in the northern part of the Dome granite-granodiorite stock. The occurrence consists of a quartz vein in a fracture zone in granite. The fracture zone strikes S87 degs E and dips 65 degs N. It has been followed in a series of strippings and trenches over a distance of 270 m.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The quartz vein has been traced for 80 m within the fracture zone. It varies in width from 5 cm to 1.5 m. It consists mainly of massive white quartz, with minor amounts of carbonate and pyrite. The vein also contains inclusions of granite. Erratic low values in gold have been reported from the vein.


Aug 31, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1940: erratic low values in gold reported from vein. 1987: numerous grab samples and 2 DDHs, best assay 210-950 ppb Au/3 m.
