Exploration History

Pre-1945: J. Follansbee carried out trenching, and 2 X-ray drill holes. 1945-46: Follansbee Red Lake Gold Mines was incorporated and performed magnetometer and geological surveys, 762.5 m of trenching, and drilled 11 holes totalling 1447.5 m. 2003: Wolfden Resources completed 6 DDH totalling 3876 m. 2004: Wolfden and Sabina completed 3 DDH and 3 wedge DDH for a total of 4773 m. 2005: Dabina completed 20 DDH for a total of 8255 m. Also completed mapping, stripping and channel sampling. 2005: Wolfden Resources completed 3 exploratory DH then continued with phase I drilling consisting of 96 holes totalling 38577m. 2006: 15745 m drilled. 2008: Goldcorp and Premier Resources (joint venture 2005) completed 16,767 m of drilling on the Bonanza Deposit. Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The Follansbee property is underlain by felsic volcanics, mafic volcanics and sediments. Mafic volcanics occur in the northern portion of the property, and consists of pillowed flows. The felsic volcanics outcrop in the central portion of the property. Clastic and chemical sedimentary rocks underlie the southern portion of the property. All of the units strike approximately east-west and dip nearly vertically.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The mafic volcanics consist of pillowed flows.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 15, 2012 (K R Kettles) - A thick unit of iron formation is reported to contain gold. 2009:The better gold grades tended to be associated with concentrations of Fe-sulphides including pyrrhotite, pyrite, and +/- arsenopryrite particularly within brecciated sulphide/oxide facies iron formations (B1 zone) and sulphide fragments within the conglomerates (F1 zone) to the north. Assays ranged up to and including 5.4 g/t Au over 5 m, 21.8 g/t over 3m.

Aug 31, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1946: 2 DDHs in if, best section at 15 ft, assays 0.04 opt Au/6.5 ft (#F-4). 1978: new drilling, all assays nil (4 DDHs). 2003: DDH of 5.4 g/t over 2.8 m from 815.6 m. 2005: Of the 37 cuts totals ranged from 1.1 g/t Au to 6.38 g/t Au.

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The country rocks have been silicified and carbonatized.
