Exploration History

1922: G. McManus performs surface work. 1936: Performs stripping and sampling, 31 holes drilled (24 ddhs, totalling 2163.67 m). 1937: McManus Red Lake Gold Mines is incorporated to acquire property. 1947: Carry out magnetometer and geological surveys. 1979: Name changed to New McManus Red Lake Gold Mines.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - An irregular quartz vein, with widths from a few cm to almost a metre has been traced for about 15 m. A 0.3 m section of drill core from an approximate depth of 12 m assayed 0.11 opt Au.


Aug 31, 2022 (Q Unknown) - 1946 DDH: 0.3 m section from appr. depth of 12 m assayed 0.11 opt Au. 1947: surface trench sample assays 0.09 opt Au/4.7 ft.
