Exploration History

1965: Cable Mines and Oils Ltd - acquired 80% interest of property from Abbican Mines Ltd. Drilled 6 holes, totalling 1802.25 m. 1973: St. Fabien Copper Mines drilled 4 surface holes totalling 1438.08 m. 3 holes were drilled from the west drift of the 396.5 m level of Wilmar Mines, totalling 1062.32 m. 1977: Xtra Developments acquires 85% interest of property. 1978: Bonanza Red Lake Explorations options property. “Inco: 21,616 feet of surface drilling in 1988. Following underground development and diamond drilling in 1989 and 1990, an 11,923 ton bulk sample was extracted. In 1991, Strathcona Mineral Services estimated a probable resource of 221,500 tons averaging 0.30 oz Au per ton between the 1800 and 2350 levels, and potential for an additional 260,000 tons at the same grade between the 2350 and 2600 levels. A 1991 pre-feasibility study by Inco indicated that the resources on the Cochenour property were not economic. In February 1998, Goldcorp completed its acquisition of all of the outstanding shares of Wilanour Resources Limited. 2003: Lateegra Resources Corp. drilled 5 DDH totalling 624 m. Surface exploration work began again in January 2007 by Premier Gold Mines on the newly expanded joint venture property, owned 49% by Premier Gold Mines Ltd. and 51% by Goldcorp Inc. In total 19 holes and 24 wedges were drilled targeting the both the West Granodiorite Zone and East Breccia Zone at depth beneath the old workings and laterally east and west of the zone. This drilling totaled 21,528.5 m and represented the first deep drilling completed under the Wilmar Mine. 2009: Goldcorp and Premier conducted a 17 DDH program completing 6807 m. 2010: Premier Gold released a resource estimate on the deposit. 2012: Goldcorp’s haulage drift being constructed to link the Red Lake Gold Mines Complexes to the Cochenour Complex crossed onto the Rahill-Bonanza Project and intersected multiple mineralized quartz-carbonate vein structures.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The occurrence, located 3 km north of the Sansahw prospect, is underlain by felsic metavolcanic flows and flow breccias, the Dome Stock granodiorite, oxide facies iron formation, mafic metavolcanics, and clastic metasediments. Mafic and felsic dikes are also present. The area lies within a SW plunging regional fold hinge containing numerous shear zones and well developed cleavage.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 15, 2012 (K R Kettles) - Gold occurs in quartz-carbonate stringers hosted in highly altered metavolcanics. The stringers are well mineralized with pyrite and pyrrhotite, with lesser amounts of chalcopyrite, sphalerite and arsenopyrite. Numerous sections of drill core assayed 0.01 opt Au. The best intersections obtained during the 1965 drill program are 0.25 opt Au over 1.8 m and 0.10 opt Au over 4.6 m. 2009: 4 DDH in this area, drill holes directionally went NW. Multiple assays returning including: 4.35 g/t over 5.5m and 11.44 g/t over 1.5 m.

Alteration Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - The country rocks have been silicified and carbonatized.
