Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - GEOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION: The prospect occurs in a NE-SW stricking unit of intermediate metavolcanics (tuffs and flows) which dip steeply to the northwest. The foliation developed in the metavolcanics is generally parallel to the strike. Immediately to the southeast of the prospect there is a small, thin, clastic unit comprised of greywacke and conglomerate. DEPOSIT DESCRIPTION: This showing is comprised of quartz veins and quartz stringers in intermediat volcanic rocks. They strike generally N55 deg. E with a steep westerly dip. The quartz is sparsely mineralized with chalcopyrite and pyrite.
