Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - GEOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION: The occurrence is situated in a quartz porphyry to granodiorite intrusion. Gold mineralization occurs in quartz veins within the intrusion. DEPOSIT DESCRIPTION: The quartz vein which comprises the showing strikes nearly east-west and apparently dips steeply south. Near the hanging wall side of the vein, the quartz is well mineralized with sulphides. Along the footwall side of the well mineralized vein there is a 1 - 2 m wide glassy quartz vein. Negligible gold values have been found in this vein. The veins are localized in a shear in the granodiorite.
