Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K R Kettles) - GEOLOGICAL DESCRIPTION: The area is underlain primarily by altered basaltic flows. A gabbro to dioritic intrusion has been noted in the eastern part of the property and may be an extension of the dike present on the west side of St. Paul Bay. The foliation strikes SW-NE and dips steeply north. Many small quartz stringers and cabonate veinlets have been mapped in the altered basalts. DEPOSIT DESCRIPTION: The gold bearing quartz stringers are thin and discontinous. They contain sulphides, most notably pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite.
